Apparently having an opinion about glyphosate and wanting to reduce unnecessary chemical exposure for your children requires you to first pass some sort of purity test based on how you look, what you eat and whether every single choice you make aligns with the “organic” rulebook. It’s giving “you can’t sit with us” which is ironic considering the entire point is supposedly about making informed choices. Being conscious of your toxin exposure doesn’t mean you have to live in a hemp house, grow every vegetable yourself and achieve some imaginary level of lifestyle purity. It means you look at what you can reasonably reduce and make the choice that works for you and your family. It’s really not that complicated. You can care about glyphosate without being 100% organic. You can question ingredients without living a perfectly “clean” lifestyle. You can make informed choices while still doing things other people wouldn’t. That’s not hypocrisy. That’s called having nuance. The idea that you’re only allowed to care about one potential exposure if you’ve eliminated every other one is such an intellectually lazy argument. By that logic, you may as well never bother making a healthier choice because apparently you’re not allowed to make one unless you make all of them. The all-or-nothing mentality is exactly what makes these conversations ridiculous. The 90s babies are waking up, doing their own research and deciding they’d like to reduce unnecessary exposure where they reasonably can… particularly when it comes to their kids. And no, my personal choices don’t need to pass your approval process before they become valid. You’re perfectly entitled to make different choices. I’m perfectly entitled to make mine. It really isn’t that difficult to understand. You don’t have to look haggard with dreads to make conscious choices ladies… #organicfood #lowtox #lowtoxliving #glyphosate #backyardchickens
