The sad thing is that the US could’ve started bringing Cuba over to the US side as early as the early 2010’s. Most of the people who were alive during the initial Missile crisis are either dead or to old to make a difference politically, and we could’ve slowly brought Cuba along, minus Russian and Chinese influence, because many of them like the idea of American idealism.
