Honestly I think Near cheated because Mikami usually observes the death note a lot to see if it’s real but why didn’t he observe it on the day that was most important??? My theory is Near wrote mikami’s name into the notebook and since the notebook works about 21 days I am sure that near wrote the names in the notebook
