Ed Markey Is In The Epstein Files During Democratic Debate (Politifact) Markey met with colleagues of lobbyist Bob Crowe in 2015 regarding Karim Wade, the son of Senegal’s then-president. Wade had been sentenced in Senegal for corruption. Justice Department files show that Crowe forwarded an email with details about that meeting to Epstein. The email doesn’t say that Markey knew Epstein was involved in Wade’s case. The meeting was about seven years after Epstein’s 2008 conviction over soliciting prostitution from a minor, and before his 2019 arrest on federal charges regarding sex trafficking of minors. The Miami Herald reported that Epstein paid Wade’s legal fees and paid Crowe’s lobbying firm, Nelson Mullins, $100,000. The firm lobbied Congress and the State Department, arguing Wade’s charges were politically motivated. Markey was the ranking member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee’s Subcommittee on Africa and Global Health at the time. Crowe’s colleague also invited Epstein to attend a Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee fundraiser that included Markey in November 2015. #politics #news #senate #epstein
Hillary Clinton was not in the files and was asked to speak before Congress under oath. Everyone’s name in the files regardless of innocence or guilt should be required to do the same exact thing, especially those with their names in the file. Shame.
