I have chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia, and sadly it gets even worse once you have that diagnosis. Doctors claim that everything is just a symptom of those illnesses and you have to battle to even have a blood test done, I fear the day that I develop something truly terrible and it develops past the point of no return because no doctor will listen to me. It's already happened to so many people with the same conditions

a male doctor called my mom fat for 4 years when she went to him with stomach pain, one day she collapsed, went to the hospital and got diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer. if he would have just done one X-ray maybe my mom would still be alive.

kinda off topic but endometriosis was found in men and then suddenly the uk is now bringing in rapid testing based on saliva instead of years of waiting and highly invasive procedures. funny how the world works

A male doctor told my mom it’s just anxiety. Every night she can’t sleep because she’s coughing until she passes out. Every time she eats she coughs and coughs until she vomits, there are literally holes tearing in her throat from the coughing. She’s not fine, it’s not anxiety, I’m a child and I can see that

Had headaches constantly couldn’t function normally and was told that I’m young and healthy and it’s just migraines until I finally collapsed and my husband took me to the hospital turns out it was a brain aneurysm and I was lucky enough that it didn’t burst

My mom had headaches, doctor's said she had to lose weight...we demanded tests they found an aneurysm was forming and they had to put a mesh graph to prevent it from bursting...later she went to a doctor for a lump. They said it was benign...she's now dead due to that turning into stage 4 breast cancer....

I was told "that's what it's like to get old" I was literally 28 and complaining about severe pain and heavy bleeding. I also said I was exhausted all the time. I'm 34 and I'm finally getting answers. Extremely low iron and ferritin. Adenomyosis, Fibroids, and Endometriosis. I'm getting a hysterectomy next month and I'm hoping I can feel better.
