When I had my daughter my parents always said by asking them can they do this or that your giving them the option to say no. That’s why now I tell her to unpack the dishes washer, or clean her room.

I tell mine nope 🤣 simple my mother didn’t drive get a bus or walk, I’m not an uber 😅 but this applies to most of my friends who taxi their kids around, transfer money like it’s expiring. Picking their friends up and takeaway on the way back. Yet my kids empty the dishwasher too 🤣 nothing worse than bratty kids. Tuff love made me appreciate the small things. I didn’t expect my parents to run around for me or give me what they didn’t have.

2hr round trip to drop my teen off at her friends house yesterday. Same again today to collect her. Has she brought the 2 glasses from her bedroom down and put them in the dishwasher as I’ve asked 10 TIMES?! 👎 🤬🤬

Nope to all of them. Bus is free now and she can walk. she gets an allowance, if she spends it that’s her issue. Food is in the house take it or leave it

So my daughters boyfriend helping in the kitchen - please empty the sweetcorn in the coloniser to drain it then she can throw it in the salad. Said do it over sink, he didn’t hear that part- all over the worktop. Asked her today to wipe the table mats after dinner - grabbed the dish cloth wet it under the tap, didn’t squeeze it out, carried it across the kitchen - dripping water everywhere, put two beakers on the worktop to go into the dishwasher, one has some coke in, turned it upside down to go into the dishwasher - coke everywhere. Mum now cleaning floor and it’s only water mum 😏 no wonder it’s you know what I’ll do it myself and save my nerve endings. 😂
