BMW Trunk won’t fully open? Easy DIY FIX! (F30/F32/F80/F82 & More) If your BMW trunk only pops open an inch or two instead of fully opening, you may not need to replace any parts. In many cases, the trunk torsion springs simply need to be moved to a different position to restore the proper opening force. After adding a spoiler to my 2015 BMW F80 M3, the extra weight caused the trunk to only pop open about an inch instead of opening normally. I fixed it by moving the trunk springs to a stronger position, giving them enough tension to support the added weight of the spoiler. It was a simple adjustment and didn’t require replacing any parts. This fix may also work on other BMW models and chassis that use a similar trunk hinge and spring setup, including certain F30, F32, F36, F80 and F82 models. If your BMW trunk stopped opening fully after installing a spoiler, wing or other trunk-mounted accessory, this may be the fix you need. #bmw #BMWM #bmwm3 #DIY #trunk
