So, there are two ways I see his trauma manifesting. The first, he is so sick of cleaning so much he avoids it at all cost. The second, it is so ingrained in his brain that it is safe, normal, an absolute must to have a clean house/space that it is a default to clean. He doesn't even know he's doing it.

I’ve always hated how his uncle and aunt treated him—especially his aunt. I cannot believe she could ever treat her sister's son like that. Don't get me wrong, I can't imagine how hard it must have been, especially since Lily was so young when she died. From what I remember—and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, as it's been a while since I've watched it—not too long after they graduated from Hogwarts, she married James, and not long after that, they passed away because of Lord Voldemort. However, that doesn't excuse her behavior at all. When push comes to shove, that is still your own blood. She had no reason to treat Harry like that. Even if Petunia wasn't on good terms with her sister, taking it out on a child is still not okay. She should have treated him so much better, especially knowing he was her sister's kid. Unfortunately, they never bothered to give him a real chance, and he suffered deeply because of it. How Harry grew up affected him in so many ways, and people don't realize how much a toxic upbringing impacts a person even into adulthood. It doesn’t just go away magically; childhood trauma is something you deal with for the rest of your life. That’s one thing I hate: people using their own past as an excuse. Just because your parents treated you badly doesn't mean you should treat a child badly. Your job as a parent should be to break the cycle and give your child a better life than you had. Unfortunately, that’s not always how it works, and Harry is living proof of that..
