@asopusarescue: About Blackeye: Blackeye is a helpless dog who has already endured more pain than any animal should ever experience. He was found after being hit by a vehicle, left alone and unable to walk normally. With no one to care for him, he dragged his hind legs across the ground, causing severe wounds, swelling, and painful bed sores. Hungry, thirsty, frightened, and confined, Blackeye suffered silently while waiting for someone to notice him. Concerned citizen Leira Dola shared his heartbreaking situation after discovering him near a garbage area, where he had reportedly been struggling for days without food or water. Thankfully, compassionate people stepped in and brought him the help he desperately needed. At the veterinary clinic, Blackeye tested negative for distemper and other major infectious diseases. However, X-rays revealed a fracture in his lumbar spine. Veterinarians believe the injury is not recent, as callus formation has already started around the fractured area. While no fractures were found in his pelvis or femur, the spinal injury is likely the reason he drags his hind legs. His blood tests also revealed serious health concerns. Blackeye is battling infection and inflammation, severe anemia, and low platelet levels. Despite everything, he continues to fight each day. He has already started receiving medications, IV fluids, and laser therapy as part of his treatment and recovery. Blackeye has suffered enough.
