Instead, the 38-year-old found herself facing stage 2 triple-negative Br*ast cancer. Parks revealed the diagnosis in an emotional Instagram post on August 2. She said her life had become a nonstop cycle of medical tests, appointments, and difficult emotions. Still, she shared one message clearly: she believes she will make it through. Her former *Glee* costar Heather Morris quickly stepped in to support her. Morris told Parks that she was one of the strongest people she knew and promised to stand beside her through the difficult journey. Then Morris did more than offer words. She created a GoFundMe to help cover Parks’ rent, food, medical co-pays, and other daily expenses while she receives chemotherapy and immunotherapy. According to the fundraiser, Parks was diagnosed on March 31. Her weakened condition and immune system have made it difficult for her to work or travel.
