I strongly believe that the most guilty ones for Africa's current predicament are the octogenarian African Presidents. Such leaders have been in charge for so long and have grown so old that their senses of memory and understanding of the concept of Pan-Africanism have failed them and continues to do so. Until the strong winds of an African revolutionary hurricane sweeps them aside for the younger generation of conscious African leadership to assume control of African affairs, the ambitious and progressive principles of true Pan-Africanism will continue to elude the masses of the people of Africa. Until these anachronistic reactionary leaders of our individual African countries are swept away into the dustbin of history, such conservative leadership and their distructive ideas shall continue to thwart the genuine efforts of the few progressive leaders of Africa such as Presidents Traore, Boko, Tianni and a few others. Until the dynamic youth groups of Africa are galvanized by their leadership to rise up and embark on one massive and popular uprising and insist on the breakdown of all artificial barriers across all African countries as a first and decisive step towards our realization of the call for the political and economic liberation of the African continent, then we shall witness several more decades of retrogression in our continent. The time to act is now and there's no time to waste. Such a movement must necessarily start from the various African university campuses and other tertiary institutions since no particular African leader or so-called political party can effectively and single handedly initiate such a mass movement and program. Africa's university student bodies under their various SRCs are more suitably placed to start such a move. The roles of the various Workers Groups and Trades Union Congresses of African countries are also very pertinent in this regard. The Osagyefo, Dr Kwame Nkrumah's dream was to advocate for an All Africa Trades Union Congress mainly for the purpose of bringing African Workers under one umbrella also to work towards the eventual unification of the continent. Our people are now more conscious of the need for our unity.

I was just thinking this evening about all the great African leaders who fought for freedom and were killed because our people lacked knowledge. It made me ask myself, what am I doing now that I am here? How can I make real change? African unity is long overdue. It’s time for us to move freely across Africa without unnecessary restrictions. We can still have our own passports, but every African should have the freedom to live, work, and build a future anywhere on the continent
