Mickel :
have you noticed that everything that is detrimental to Australians is rushed through parliament by the Australian Labor Party, no real transparency, no real time period for consultation and definitely no accountability

Would you go be a tax advisor for the government to actually properly reform our tax system?

So I’m divorced, house was in ex’s name, transferred to my name after the budget - even if they change it as proposed I get no grandfathering as I wasn’t previously on the title. Standard asset protection for a business owner.

Your content is great. I’ve watched you shift somewhat from giving tax advice to dismantling the budget and informing followers just how terrible it is.

You need to point out that this only applies to the inherited portion. If both parties own 50% then the 50% inherited is not grandfathered, until the policy passes the senate which is tabled to be later this month. And the drafted bill will be back dated to the budget reform. So this story is technically not correct in the way you have stated it, or how it has been released in the media as there are other factors that play into this exact scenario which are not made clear.

The greens don’t check or read anything. They just give their vote blindly so they can get their BS deals passed. These tax changes are a shambles.

I forgot to mention that the comment about the bank declining due to the fact the property can’t be negatively geared is also false. Do a quick chat gpt search… the bank assesses serviceability of loans. A negatively geared property puts the lender at a higher risk bracket .. not lower…
