bro, you're right, but sometimes those journalists choose based on current form rather than talent or representation. If a journalist chooses Jorginho over Messi not because Jorginho is a better footballer than Messi, but because of what Jorginho did over the previous season and what he achieved, I'm not saying that is the case, but I'm saying you should consider that also

I do agree that it's an award based on votes and opinions of voters(journalists). Us as football enthusiastic do have more ball knowledge. It is flawed yess but I feel like the most noticeable and most honorable individual award in our sport should hold some weight in conversations. Just saying. We do not have a definite metric for determining the best players in the world aside these awards.
