On our way home from interrailing 8 of us missed our original train from Ljubljana so we had to wait 10 hours for the next. We then thought we found a quicker way so got on that train. We were on the train thinking we were heading to Paris to catch the Eurostar. 10 hours into said train we realised instead of heading to Paris we had Infact done a loop of Slovenia and we ended up back at our original train station we had been at that morning. At this point we had missed our Eurostar in Paris and all other Eurostars were booked up for the next 3 days. We had to book a ferry and find a new route to Calais. When we got off our final train the whole train station cheered us on.

on my discover EU trip back in 2019, a simple one train trip from Amsterdam to cologne turned into 3 trains and hours of travel because the train broke down or couldn't travel on that line (I can't completely remember). what should have been a nightmare turned into one of the most memorable moments of that trip. I got talking to so many people, particularly an older couple, and got to just chat to lots of different people who were all in the same situation. that couple I then saw almost every day I spent in cologne and we would talk about what we were doing or had done. I wouldn't ever want to change what happened.

En uno de mis viajes un señor subió a la misma cabina, traia 3 platanos, decidió compartirlo con mi hermana y conmigo, ese fué el inicio de nuestro día despues de haber viajado durante la noche para seguir conociendo muchos más lugares gracias a interrail.
