I watched this movie at a very young age and it traumatized the hell out of me. I don’t think I can watch it even today at 40 years old. I couldn’t watch a movie with Kevin Bacon for a long long time. I really despised his character.

I was 17 went thus came out. I feel such anger and sadness for all the kids that went through all that pain. There's no telling how many kids suffered like that in real life.

Sadly this was a real issue that happened to multiple children as young 6 and up for boys home in America,there is a documentary about it,they were beaten,tortured,forced labor,abused and assaulted,and murdered,many didnt make it home

One of the best. Heartbreaking. But damn good story and acting… ugh, and now I’m a mom to a son (11) I have yet to show him the Whole movie… I only showed him the the whole hot dog cart scene and how one bad decision could change so many lives forever.
