These things can be an explanation, but they're not an excuse. As adults, especially as parents, it's our responsibility to seek help when we feel overwhelmed. This day and age we all know the risks of postpartum psychosis and/or depression. She clearly didn't seek help, not in a way that would've granted her help, and that killed her children. That is the problem here.
