@casasethe: que Exu te livre, daqueles que fingem querer seu bem, desejando sua queda. #exu #mojuba #pombogira #fy #espiritualidade

248am. Baby had been crying long enough that I couldn’t even remember what started it. Hungry? Maybe. Gas? Probably. Overtired? Definitely. Me? Also overtired 😂 I had already fed her. Changed her. Burped her. Rocked her. Walked around the room doing that weird mom bounce we all somehow learn without anyone teaching us. Still crying. And I could feel myself getting to that point. Not angry at her. Just completely tapped out. Like my entire body was begging for quiet. I remember looking around the nursery and thinking how weird it is that you can feel so needed and so alone at the exact same time. The whole house was dark. My husband was asleep. Every house I could see outside was dark. And my brain immediately did that thing where it convinces you you’re the only person on earth awake. Which obviously isn’t true. But at 2:48am after weeks of broken sleep? It FEELS true. I picked up my phone mostly because I needed something to look at besides the clock 😂 And I opened this app I’d downloaded recently. There’s this map on it. And every little yellow light is another mom. I don’t know why I wasn’t expecting many people to be on there that late. But there were lights EVERYWHERE. Moms awake in different states. Different countries. Different time zones. Some feeding. Some pumping. Some probably doing exactly what I was doing, bouncing a crying baby around a dark room wondering how much longer they could keep their eyes open. And idk. Something shifted. My baby was still crying. I was still exhausted. It wasn’t like opening an app magically fixed the night. But suddenly I wasn’t sitting in that nursery thinking, “Everyone is asleep except me.” Because clearly they weren’t. There were so many of us awake. Then I noticed you can send these little hugs to other moms. No message required. No awkward “hey stranger, I’m currently losing my mind at 3am, wanna chat?” 😂 Just a tiny way of saying: I see you. I’m here too. 💛 So I sent a few. And then moms sent them back. That part made me way more emotional than it probably should have 😭 Because sometimes postpartum support isn’t someone giving you advice. Sometimes I actually DON’T want advice lol. Please don’t tell me about wake windows. Please don’t ask if I’ve tried putting her down drowsy but awake. Please, for the love of God, don’t tell me to sleep when the baby sleeps 😂 Sometimes I just want another mom to say: “Yep. I’m awake too.” That’s it. And somehow that makes the room feel less lonely. Eventually she stopped crying. Her whole little body relaxed against me. And I sat there for another few minutes before attempting the world’s most dangerous mission: transferring a sleeping baby into the crib without waking her 😂 But I kept thinking about that map. All those tiny yellow lights. All those moms doing their own version of this night. One warming a bottle. One pumping. One nursing. One Googling “why won’t my newborn sleep” for the 47th time. One crying. One laughing at something on TikTok so she doesn’t cry. One staring at the clock calculating how many minutes she could theoretically sleep before the next feed. Motherhood can feel unbelievably isolating in the middle of the night. But we’re not actually doing it alone. We’re just doing it in separate dark rooms. And sometimes seeing the other lights is enough to remember that. 💛 #mom #baby #MomsofTikTok #momtok #momlife
