@thehoneykate: What happened to me was not okay, and if this happens to all my fellow “naturally” born Filipinos, then it’s a problem. No foreigner, tourist, expat, or Permanent Resident has the right to intimidate us in our own home just because they “bring money to this country.” I refused to back down today, and thankfully the manager and security guard had my back. But it made me realize how many Filipinos get bullied into submission by entitled people who think foreign currency buys them authority over us. To my fellow FILIPINOS, LET’S BE LOUD! @Starbucks PH @ayalacentercebutower

Wala akong kinakampihan. Wether you’re a Filipino or a foreigner, it’s very important to have a public etiquette. Period.

so no one would tell her that pulling the "THIS IS MY COUNTRY" card is also an entitlement? i'm not taking sides here but idk being too loud in public places is my pet peeve. wether your headphones are not working you can make a call by not disturbing others. - just my two cents.

Foreigner or hindi, being so loud in a cafe would irritate me. You couldve just put it near your ear, not on loud speaker

I mean, you were in a public space, so it would have been considerate to be mindful of the people around you who could be disturbed by such a loud phone call. It’s just basic phone etiquette. whether local or foreigner, you could have been more mindful 🤷🏻‍♀️

Not everyone has the confidence to face tough conversations and stay composed—but you owned it. You set a powerful example for our kababayan ate Honey.

I’m on the foreigner’s side on this one. Please be considerate. Don’t answer phone calls on speaker in a coffee shop. If it’s just a quick call, it shouldn’t last long enough for everyone around you to notice.

Unethical talaga yan mga ON speaker sa public. Pag may personal space may air space din. Nakakairita yong nanoood sa public transport na Hindi naka headphones.

Im sorry but what was the point on putting on loud speaker if you couldve just used the phone normally? Or probably just stepped outside to take the call. I think it was wrong for you to clap back by saying “this is my country…” he was basically calling you out for basic public space etiquette?
