@sneakysweeno: One of Scotland's most atmospheric castle ruins... 🏰 Morton Castle has no official build date and no record of who first built it. Over the centuries it was destroyed, rebuilt, and eventually burned again. It has now stood abandoned for over 300 years. What other places in Scotland should I visit? 👇 #Scotland #History #explorescotland #visitscotland #abandoned
Let me help you with that...
Castle Sween, sometimes spelled Sweeno, after its founder is located on the west coast of Scotland (Argyll) and is considered one of the country's oldest stone castles. It was built towards the end of the 12th century by Suibhne (Sween), a Gael Norse chieftain or Irish lord, to serve as a stronghold and fortified port on Loch Sween.
The fortress passed to the MacSween clan, then was captured by Robert the Bruce, who entrusted it to the MacDonalds. It subsequently changed hands among the Campbell, MacNeill, and MacMillan clans, undergoing several expansions including the addition of towers during the 15th century. During the Wars of the Three Kingdoms in 1647, the castle was besieged, looted, and burned by Alasdair MacColla and his Catholic Royalist troops. It was never rebuilt.🥰👍

マティモト Yumi法国🇫🇷 :
I Still Stand Here
I still stand here, in the sea.
I am moaning,
and I am also singing.
I am shouting,
and I am also calling.
I am full of passion,
and I am also crying,
with tears running down my face.
Because the seawater keeps touching my body,
and it keeps calling to my heavy footsteps.
I still stand here,
alone.
In loneliness,
I am sadness.
I do not want to leave.
In this deep and lonely sea wind,
there is once again a deep song coming to me.
I am still standing here.
I cannot leave,
and I do not want to leave.
This is my land.
This is my sea.
This is the moment when I embrace nature.
I am simply standing here,
letting loneliness sing.
