A couple of years ago, I saw a video on tiktok that gave me a major breakthrough in my healing journey. It was asking: *how do you speak to yourself? *whose voice is that? *how would you speak to your very best friend if they were in your situation? *how different would your life be if you spoke to yourself like you would talk to your best friend? From that day on, I've been actively monitoring how I speak to myself. It has been life altering. I don't always get it right, but when I catch myself being cruel to myself, I give myself an imaginary shake and rephrase. Healing the internalized criticism takes a long time, but it is definitely life changing 🥰
