The he smelt her blood or heard her heart beat is ridiculous, the show obv shows they have to concentrate or tune into a noise. Other wise katherine could never be able to act as Elena in scenes and he would’ve heard her in the mountains like a eps or two before this

Most definitely not lol. Klaus wasn’t actively listening at that point. If for a split second he knew Elena was in there he would’ve lost it. She was suppose to be dead and he’s at this time realizing that none of his hybrids are working for some reason. And if he would’ve sensed that Elena was there of ALL PEOPLE- he would’ve snapped Stefan’s neck and captured Elena and finish what he started. Bsff lol when he DOES find out Elena is still alive he almost kills stefan for lying to him. luckily for them though he needs elena alive. but he don’t know that yet in this scene/time. so. most definitely not. he would’ve fucked shit up.
