@thesunnahguy: The last 5 years have changed my life in such a surreal manner. I’ve been to around 20+ countries and taken nearly 100 flights. I’ve met people who I have such a strong connection with and my mind has broadened massively. I thought the way I saw the world was normal. I thought everyone measured success the same way. Wanted the same things. Dreamed the same dreams. And it was only until I started traveling that I realised that what I thought were my beliefs…were often just the beliefs of the people I grew up around. It has been one of the most humbling experiences of my life. Because the more countries I visited, the less convinced I became that I had everything figured out. Instead, I became more curious, more compassionate, more patient with people. You begin to realise that every person you meet has been shaped by a completely different story. Different parents. Different struggles. Different cultures. Different experiences. And yet, just like you... They're simply trying to make sense of this life. Travel changed the way I looked at people. It taught me to listen before I judged. To understand before I criticised. And to appreciate that Allah created us into different nations and tribes, so that we may know one another. The more I see of this world... The more I'm reminded of how little I actually know. And the more it truly humbles me. And I think that's one of the greatest gifts travel can give a person.
