i was lucky to get dx quickly 3 years ago and start treatment for my vasculitis .. but now i’m trapped in the endless loop of drs who keep pushing me off to other drs ..i did 9 days in the hospital for a flare only to have the hospital dr dismiss me as depressed , having anxiety and being a hysteric !!! meanwhile i have a documented disease !!!!!!

I was just diagnosed with lupus last year. Even with treatment.. it’s taking the edge off. Are you sure she didn’t say with meds it’ll be a year because you need to find the right drug? I was put on prednisone right away then methotrexate with rounds of prednisone. 😞

I waited 6 months for a Rheumatology appointment and was sick nearly the entire time. We have a lack of specialists in our area, not to mention having to only go to certain ones because we have to stay in network for insurance. I'm sorry you're struggling, I can honestly sympathize.

I got diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis in 2018 and 8 years later I still haven’t gotten it under control. I’m so sorry - hang in there ❤️The healthcare system is a joke.

Your primary dr that has been doing the testing/blood test is the one that is to supply you with the medication until you get in with a rheumatologist.

Rheumatology is one of the least popular specialists, being replaced at much lower rates than they're retiring. I will say, I have sarcoidosis. Between my GP and Pulmonologist I get my meds without seeing my Rheumatology doctor. See if your GP can do something for you medicine wise. Also, book at several rheumatologist offices and call back weekly to see if they have any cancelations.

Sorry you are going through this. I have been going through similar things for over a year. I have seen 11 different Dr's and have been to the ER countless times. I just ended up getting my own bloodwork done. I have had so many tests. The only thing I finally found out was that I have iliac vein compression and had a stent placed.

I waited six months just to see a rheumatologist that didn’t do fuck all. Fight for yourself momma. Look for one somewhere else, drive if you’ve got to.

It took 7 years and IM THE ONE who did all the research and told them it was lupus /RA FINALLY beginning of last year without a referral I went to a rheumatologist and he did the tests. I tested positive for 3 things and had to prove it wasnt “drug related” 5 months later went back I was so sick at that point. Flagged for like 6 things and he ordered me meds over the phone. Forever grateful
