There’s nothing quite like a batch of easy homemade brownies — rich, fudgy, and full of real dark chocolate flavor. 🍫 These simple brownie cups are the perfect quick dessert idea when you’re craving something sweet but don’t want to spend hours in the kitchen. Made with just a few ingredients — butter, cocoa powder, and chopped dark chocolate, they’re the ultimate chocolate dessert recipe that always works. Soft inside, slightly crispy on top and deeply chocolatey… trust me, these are the kind of brownies everyone falls in love with. Ingredients • Dark chocolate — 12 oz (350 g) • Unsalted butter — ½ cup (115 g) • Granulated sugar — ½ cup (100 g) • Brown sugar — ½ cup (100 g) • Eggs — 3 large • Vanilla extract — 1 teaspoon • All-purpose flour — ⅔ cup (75 g) • Cocoa powder — ⅓ cup (35 g) • Salt — a pinch 1. Melt the chocolate and butter In a heatproof bowl, melt 200 g (about 7 oz) of dark chocolate together with the butter in the microwave, checking and stirring every 20–30 seconds. You want the chocolate to be smooth and glossy but make sure not to overheat it. It should feel warm (not hot to the touch) 2. Whisk the eggs and sugars In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and the sugar starts to dissolve. 3. Combine the mixtures Pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture and stir gently until combined. Sift in the flour, cocoa powder and salt. Mix just until you no longer see dry flour (don’t overmix) 4. Add the chopped chocolate Fold in 150 g (about 5 oz) of finely chopped dark chocolate — including any small crumbs or flakes. They’ll melt into the batter and make the centers perfectly gooey and rich. 5. Bake in cupcake molds Spoon the batter evenly into lined cupcake or muffin tins, filling each about ¾ full. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 18–22 minutes, until the tops are set but the centers are still slightly soft. Let them cool a bit before removing from the pan. The centers will settle into that perfect fudgy texture as they rest. And if you love easy desserts that always turn out perfect, make sure to follow for more cozy homemade baking ideas 💌
