#marianapimentacy #clipfyleague

The silence that settled over Saraya Pâtisserie after Apo’s car drove away was heavy, almost suffocating. Lena stood near the coffee station, holding a damp cloth, her usual cheerful demeanor replaced by quiet concern. She glanced toward the center of the shop where Bam still stood, rooted to the marble floor like a statue sculpted from grief. "Bam." Lena whispered softly, stepping forward. "Do you want to sit down? I can close the shop early today." Bam didn't move immediately. Her lower lip was still pale from where she had bitten it, and her dark eyes remained fixed on the empty street outside. Slowly, she took a long, steadying breath, forced her shoulders back, and blinked away the remaining moisture blurring her vision. "No," Bam said, her voice faint but carefully composed once more. "We remain open. The afternoon rush will begin soon." "Chef Bam, you're shaking," Lena insisted gently, coming to stand beside her. "That man the way he looked at you." "It doesn't matter," Bam cut in smoothly, turning to face her assistant. Her eyes were slightly rimmed with red, but her posture was rigid, unyielding. "Please brew a fresh pot of dark roast, Lena. And prepare two portions of the Oreo jelly cake. In case.." She trailed off, unable to complete the sentence, but Lena understood completely. In case Oom comes back. Across town, at the private medical clinic, the hum of fluorescent lights created a stark, sterile contrast to the warm wood of Bam's bakery. Oom sat on the edge of an examination table, a cooling pad resting against the back of her neck. Dr. Tan, her attending neurologist, reviewed the digital scans on her tablet, while Apo paced back and forth near the door, his arms crossed tightly over his chest. "It's a standard stress-induced migraine, exacerbated by dehydration and light exhaustion," Dr. Tan explained, turning off the monitor. "Her brain activity is stable. No new swelling, no abnormal neural spikes." Oom let out a soft groan, leaning her head back against the wall. "See, Apo? I told you. I didn't need to be dragged across the city like an invalid." "You almost collapsed in a public bakery, Oom," Apo said sharply, stopping his pacing to glare at her with fierce, protective frustration. "If that chef hadn't caught you." He paused, his jaw tightening as the image of Bam holding Oom flashed in his mind. "Bambi was very nice," Oom murmured, a small, involuntary smile touching her lips despite the throbbing behind her eyes. As she touched her necklace, she smiled brightly. Looking up at the physician, she added warmly, "You know, Dr. Tan, Chef Bam has the same necklace as mine. It felt so familiar when I saw it." Dr. Tan glanced up sharply from her tablet, her calm eyes fixing on Oom, then shifting subtly toward Apo, who looked distinctly uncomfortable. "Did her reaction trigger any specific thoughts, Oom?" Dr. Tan asked neutrally, keeping her tone strictly professional. "Any familiar feelings?" Oom frowned, tapping her temple. "Not memories, exactly. Just an ache. A really deep ache in my chest, right here. The moment I smelled the vanilla on her coat, my headache felt a little less sharp. Is that weird, Doctor?" #oombam #bamsaralee #oomeisaya
