They were basically scammed. And yeah, that absolutely sucks. But, it's not our countries fault. The students need to reapply in 30 or 60 days, or apply to other civilized countries. Like Australia, European countries, some arab or asian countries, and lastly america. There are student resource centres that can help them apply elsewhere.

I have never had a problem with immigration. In fact, I believe immigration is one of the things that makes Canada special. We are a multicultural country, and I’ve always been proud that people from every corner of the world have chosen to build their lives here. My concern isn’t with immigrants, it’s with how immigration has been managed over the last several years. Canada’s immigration system became heavily concentrated on one source country for a period of time, rather than maintaining the diversity that has always been one of our strengths. At the same time, there were well-documented problems involving some international student programs, fraudulent colleges and recruiters, and employers taking advantage of wage subsidy programs. Add to that the rapid pace of population growth, and our housing, healthcare, infrastructure, and job market simply weren’t prepared to keep up. I feel for the international students who came here believing they had a real opportunity. Many invested their savings and built lives here. But the federal government created expectations that Canada ultimately couldn’t support. Canada needs immigration. Our economy depends on it. But immigration has to be sustainable, well-managed, and balanced. We should welcome people from around the world while making sure we have the housing, infrastructure, healthcare, and employment opportunities to support both newcomers and the Canadians already here.
