🐶🇫🇷 Everything you need to know about taking your dog to France… because honestly, we were overthinking it! 😂 Bonnie has absolutely LOVED her first European caravan adventure, and it was much easier than we expected. 🐾 Rabies vaccination – We used Vets for Pets and paid £75. 📄 Animal Health Certificate – We went to Abbeywell Vets in Folkestone. It cost £99 (our local vet wanted £275! 😳). We uploaded everything online beforehand, then simply collected it on the way to the ferry. Even better, it’s valid for 4 months for travel within the EU. ⛴️ P&O Ferries – They scanned Bonnie’s microchip while boarding to check it matched the certificate. We also booked the Pet Lounge for just £15 each way, which meant Bonnie could stay with us instead of being left in the car. Worth every penny! 🐶❤️ 🚗 The journey – Plenty of fresh water, lots of comfort breaks and regular wee stops. Bonnie definitely had more pit stops than we did… and somehow still complained less than the humans! 😂 ☀️ Keeping cool – Her cooling mat, cooling collar, little shade tent and the caravan air conditioning have been absolute lifesavers in the French sunshine. If you’re thinking about taking your dog abroad, don’t let it put you off. It’s been so straightforward, and seeing Bonnie living her best French life has made it 100% worth it. 🇫🇷🐾 Got any questions? Pop them below and we’ll do our best to answer them! ❤️ #TouringWithTheBowers #DogFriendlyTravel #TravelWithDogs #PetPassport #AnimalHealthCertificate
