discalculia (math dyslexia). it's a terrible condition when you're actually good at math, but often don't read numbers correctly

One year when I met my sons teacher I told her fyi he has dyslexia. She said oh ok I’ll move him to the front so he can see the board. 😳 🤦♀️

I didn’t get my diagnosis until I was 27, I had two previous tests one at 7 which I don’t remember but my mother does and one at 14-15, in which they gave me a book to read, the book was at the reading level of a 6 year old, big bold simple words. They told me I didn’t have it because I could read. When people are left to deal with these things in their own they learn to adapt.
