I honestly understand your point, ma’am, but I also think it’s important to consider how difficult the Nigerian economy has become. The basic necessities we need to survive the bare minimum have become extremely expensive because of inflation. In Nigeria today, almost 95% of the things you need to live a decent life revolve around money. The cost of living has risen so much that the wealthy are feeling the pressure, the middle class is struggling to maintain their standard of living, and many people who were once financially comfortable are now barely getting by. Surviving in Nigeria has become incredibly challenging, especially without a stable source of income. Unfortunately, money has become almost essential for meeting even the most basic needs.

We are classists in nature, in uk I have seen families talk about getting school items from charity shop and you will never get backlash but try it on Nigerian TikTok platform and see sub post, Nigerians living in uk are in the same boat too. It’s on TikTok I read that shopping in Aldi is low class, it’s a terrible and disgusting behaviour

We are truly in big trouble. We don’t discuss indices of societal development like healthcare, maternal mortality, child health, flooding control, security, etc. Money, money, money, money. Too much obsession with money.
