Who buys a house on their own. If you take two average people in london to buy the average property suddenly that’s not overly out of reach. Deposit is the biggest issue but the idea that all these comparisons are done as a single person is mad. If you don’t have a partner buy a house with some mates.

It’s insane but honestly I don’t think buying a house is the priority anymore, it’s more expensive than ever and so much more restrictive than renting, especially considering the ease of travelling and working from home now.

I love this breakdown Declan. Eye watering mortgage to top it off 😂 it’s crazy that even tho you can get accepted for a mortgage whilst earnings that much, it’s over 50% of you take home pay…massive commitment
