While most children spend their days running, laughing, and playing without a second thought, some little warriors spend theirs fighting for every easy breath. Behind every smile is a child carrying a battle too heavy for such tiny shoulders. Behind every treatment is a family silently praying that this one helps just a little more. People see a vest, a nebulizer, hospital visits, and medications. What they don’t see are the sleepless nights, the tears after the machines are turned off, the fear of every infection, and the strength it takes to wake up and do it all again tomorrow. Cystic fibrosis doesn’t take a day off. Neither do the children who live with it. They don’t ask, “Why me?” They simply keep fighting. They laugh when they can, smile through the exhaustion, and remind us what true courage looks like.
