Thanks for this! When I try this with my 7 month border collie, she’ll try to bite (not nibble) it out my hand - any tips for teaching her manners for this 😅 she’ll either leave it alone (and wait to be given it) or chomp away - no inbetween!

You are the only other person I’ve known that calls them slip slips 😂 I had a fairly high content wolfdog that would not lure. As soon as I moved my hand she thought, oh you don’t want me to have it now, okay, and stepped back. Just didn’t get it at all, as a game. I wasn’t trying to train her to do much anyway, if she couldn’t see why she wasn’t interested. But once I had a bond with her she had impeccable recall, manners, walked naturally at heel off lead…understood many sentences…just did it, because it made sense to her. She was one of the last dogs I had, and she confounded a lot of what I thought I knew about working with dogs 😊
