Both bladerunner films are incredible, but i preferred the writing of the older film. It was filled with so much noire feeling and thought, the camera work, there was a lot left unsaid, unsolved, and Decker is a very complicated character, so following his point of view is more complex, because its difficult to know what he is thinking. The newer film is amazing, just a bit more straightforward

I respect what Blade Runner is going for, but I’m definitely a plot first movie watcher. The atmosphere is incredible, but I spend so much time trying to figure out what’s happening that I struggle to get invested.
