@mortgages_by_alexis: What if the greatest inheritance isn’t what you leave behind… but what you give when it can change someone’s life? For many families, helping with a down payment in their 20s or 30s can create decades of wealth through homeownership instead of waiting until much later in life. Not every family can do this, and that’s okay. But if it’s an option, it’s a conversation worth having. #H#HomeBuyingTipsF#FirstTimeHomeBuyerR#RealEstateM#MortgageTipsFinancialPlanning

How about kids become mature adults and pave their own path and parents stop enabling and then if there’s something end of life that’s great

So, a fifty to sixty year old should give their retirement money away.

most people don't have at ton of extra cash to give thier kids while they are still working and saving for retirement. a big chunk of that inheritance is tied up in 401ks and real-estate.

I paid for a full college education. They have no student loans. I’m not giving a down payment for a house.

Sounds like the young generation need to be taken care rather than making their own. If boomers etc give there money away before they die what happens when they have a life emergency and need their savings?????

Maybe we need that money to take care of ourselves because my children said we’re on our own. They won’t help…… so we’re keeping and spending the money on care.

I saved it I’m spending it on whatever I want. If anything is left over when I die then they can fight over it.

When the kids are 30 we just barely got the last one out of the house. We don’t have money either. In another 30 we do. Math ain’t mathin

I agree with this 100%. If you are blessed to have an abundance better to disperse while you’re alive and enjoy what’s left over instead of waiting til you’re dead. I’d rather see the joy then horde it and make my kids wait.
