legit had to put child locks on my geckos tank a couple weeks ago because my cat figured out how to open it and i found her terrorizing my gargoyle gecko at 5am 🙃

we had a hamster that got out somehow and was loose in the house with two dogs and three cats, we heard her in the wall behind our oven and ripped all the drywall out but couldn't find her and after two weeks we thought for sure she was a goner. week three our kitchen flooded and we discovered she had chewed into the supply line to the dishwasher for water and we still couldn't find her. after a month she just squeezed under my sisters bedroom door one night and went back to where her cage was and she lived there for two more years like her adventure never happened 😭

My bf had a gecko that lived under the fridge for 18 YEARS. It escaped while being little. Few months later he found him in the kitchen. He let him live there, bought him crickets etc. He lived a very happy life and lived 3 years longer than geckos his type are expected to live. When my bf was moving from one house to another he would catch him and release to go under another fridge

mine spent winter out of her tank found her by the front door like she was snow ready or something. pop her back in her tank and she drops her tail like that was the stressful event not the cold house and 3 cats.

I had lost mine for two days and was an absolute mess!! Went into the garage to grad something and when I came back inside there she was trying to get back into her enclosure. She wasn’t about that life 😂😂

i knew someone’s who was gone well over a year and she thought she was dead and to comfort her i’d always say “she’s living in the walls” even though i also thought she was probably dead. turns out she was living in the walls.

My mom managed to lose my bearded dragon a couple times when I was a kid (she’s let him out to run around and forget about him) and I’d find him hibernating in my closet or under a bed like months later😭 he was like a foot long and lived to be 18 years old and miraculously survived an aneurism. Rocky was a legend.
