I wanted to heal so I had to open up about my own sin, AND stop avoiding the issues around me. For years I ignored the signs of my husbands infidelities because I had my own secret AND because I felt like I deserved it. After all I had broke our covenant as well, so in some twisted way this was pay back though he cheated first….mentally, I was in a really bad place guys. I was broken before getting married and my marriage just exacerbated what I hadn’t been willing to address. Don’t do what I and the lame man did, we made excuses for why we couldn’t and shouldn’t heal. For many years we both sat in sickness and that is not what God has planned for His children. Me hiding my affairs just made me sicker and it kept me from living a life full in grace. Do what you need to do to heal. I’m proof that healing is freedom if your willing to work for it. John 5: 3-9 ERV Many sick people were lying on the porches beside the pool. Some of them were blind, some were crippled, and some were paralyzed. One of the men lying there had been sick for 38 years. Jesus saw him lying there and knew that he had been sick for a very long time. So he asked him, “Do you want to be well?” The sick man answered, “Sir, there is no one to help me get into the water when it starts moving. I try to be the first one into the water. But when I try, someone else always goes in before I can.” Then Jesus said, “Stand up! Pick up your mat and walk.” Immediately the man was well.
