@capstingray: How I retired at 52. It started with one question: If we could design our own life, what would it look like? What happened next changed everything. Part 1 #retireearly #rvlife #financialfreedom #retirement #lifeafter50
Most people can't retire because health insurance is so expensive.

I quit working at age 54. Just sold the big house with everything in it and the cars and move to Thailand. That was nearly 13 years ago and still loving life every day.

I think the most important aspect fir financial freedom is to think way in advance for financial freedom. like the day u get married! This is our goals etc etc let's get it done! unfortunately alot of people plan too late in life! especially now the way Australia is changing its scary 😨

Your first sentence in the story explained it all, i was a HR manager and my wife was an assistant principal. Your income was significantly higher than the average.

I retired at 53! I spent about 3 years penny pinching and paying off debt and then just did it. I don’t live any kind of lavish lifestyle now. But I do vacation twice a year in Hawaii because my daughter lives there. Life is good!

Ten yrs ago we retired at 52 & 54. Sold business, emptied a 3 story 5 bedroom house, ordered a 40ft class A motorhome. We rented out the house, same tenants are still there 10 yrs later, because we already had 5 other rentals. We live & travel fulltime. We are now 62 & 64 and still not collecting SS but living the good life because we worked hard and set ourselves up for retirement.
