@daveramsey: When I buy real estate, I like neighborhoods with big oak trees.   Why? Because they tell me the neighborhood has been there a while. It’s got a track record. It’s stable.   That’s how I look at mutual funds too. About 85% of my decision is based on the rate of return. And if two funds are close, I’ll choose the one with the longer track record.   I don’t like risk. I like to make money.
