As a psychologist working across forensic and acute inpatient mental health, including with people on Treatment Authorities every day, I’ve worked with many people who experience auditory hallucinations. In my clinical experience, male voices tend to be reported more often than female voices, and that’s consistent with the research. Studies have found that auditory verbal hallucinations are more commonly perceived as male, and command hallucinations involving harm to others are also more likely to be experienced as male voices. That said, voices can be male, female, multiple voices, or have no identifiable gender at all. Clinically, we’re usually far more interested in what the voice is saying, how powerful or believable it feels to the person, and how much influence it has over their behaviour than whether it sounds male or female.

I have a theory & I am not a creator so I’m dropping it in comments everywhere. Her Apple Watch. Theres a Walkie Talkie feature in every Apple Watch. Once you’re connected w someone on there - they can just push a button & talk to you. Their voice will just come right through depending on settings. If you’re (over)medicated, wearing your watch & unaware of it then you’re hearing a voice from presumably nowhere

Hearing voices isn't really something that happens once (that 15min. or so to kill the children) and never again. That's odd and doubtful.
