The Correspondent was amazing! I told everyone that I felt on the verge of tears the whole time, knew how it would end, and once the tears started, I didn’t stop. Literally wrecked me, so naturally, I have recommended it nonstop since.

I think if you come back to Theo of Golden at a different time in a different mood when you’re ready for a slower read, you MIGHT like it. That’s what my aunt had to do. That’s what I had to do with the invisible life of Addie LaRue - I was HATING it. Put it down for a month and came back to it later on and quite liked it.

Yesss I feel like the shift from Greek mythology to pirate summer got all of us🤣 I think Emily Wilson’s The Odyssey might’ve been my best this month but I also binged Heartstopper and just exploded with joy so it’s a tough call hahaha

a man called ove is still my favorite book. here’s me with backman when i was 12, after handing him my swedish essay about him and Ove. 🥹 i’m 25 now and it still means so much to me! 😭 as his biggest fan i just have to recommend his novella “and the way home gets longer and longer”. he has so many famous works now but this one is his best imo!!! i think you guys would like anxious people too. 🫡
