@emelle_studio: People always ask me how I have time to make things, thrift things, and still keep up with three kids. The answer is I don't. I just refuse to pay someone else to do something I can figure out myself. It's a curse. It's a gift. It's probably the ADHD. But when I look around my home and see things I've made with my own hands, or treasures I've found for 50p, it feels better than anything I could have bought new. Christmas, Halloween, Easter, random Tuesday afternoons, I'll find a reason to decorate. And I'll find a way to do it without giving my money to a big corporation.
