hey so im not from english speaking countries. back when i was a high schooler, there is an english proficiency test that we have to take before graduating, and I scored top 3 for reading and writing comprehension. my english teacher asked me what book i use to study, but i actually good at it bcs i read a loooot of fanfics in english😭😭😭

forgot that reading fanfics nowadays doesn't feel like a crime anymore bc I was flabbergasted when I heard someone asking another person "what's your ao3 account?" in a public space. literally stopped what I'm doing and tried to look around in a discreet way just to know who that person was. p.s. it was a high school student so I'm flabbergasted again bc why r u, a minor, talking about that in a public space while years back underage me had to lie about my age whenever someone asked me my age and the fics I've read😭

asianfanfics were my thing back in high school. reading fics for 2nd Gen K-pop groups. + I was also part of a text group who like the same kpop group and someone on that group was a fan fiction writer and she wrote them in a form of text message. So, every week all of us were waiting for their updates.

I used to fan fic, wlw version. I was obsessed with Taeny fanfics. I don't have a phone. My gay best friend used to screenshot when new chapter is out and let me read it at school. Every morning, we do that like we are doing drugs. if you think abt it, those were good memories
