@thebeardedplantaholic: My dad has always been my hero. The older I’ve become, the more I’ve realised that one day life quietly swaps your roles. The man who once carried me now needs me to carry him. The man who always had the answers now just needs someone to sit beside him. Nothing prepares you for that. Many of you have probably noticed that I’ve been quieter lately. Orders have been a little slower going out, replies have taken longer, and I’ve not been quite as present online. I’m sorry. Not because I don’t care about this business. I love it with everything I’ve got. But right now, my place is beside the man who made me into the person I am today. Everything I’ve built, every opportunity I’ve had, every dream I’ve chased… somewhere in all of that is my dad. So if things are a little slower for a while, I hope you’ll understand. Businesses can wait. Emails can wait. Social media can wait. Time with the people you love can’t. Thank you to every single one of you who has shown patience, kindness and understanding over the past few months. It has meant more than you’ll ever know. And if your mum or dad is still here… give them a hug. Ask another question. Listen to another story. One day you’ll wish you had just one more. One love, Jonny ❤️🫶🏽🙏

I didn't have a dad, the drink did. However, I realise these days this important thing....our parents teach us valuable lessons in both their actions and inactions. Who you choose to become on the back of this is entirely of your own making...you can blame them or thank them, but take a moment to say those in your head 'blame them' or 'thank them'....see how they feel to you....I know which one I'm going with. we can choose to live in victim mentality or gratitude mentality...and so I thank you for the reminder to thank my Dad, out there in the energy, that I forgive him, that he was really funny when he was sober....and that as a fellow earthling I have a love for him that everyone deserves, for we are all children to someone. From this tiny phone person you, I wish you healing energy and peace in your heart.

My thing in place of a father left when I was 10 😬 but I’ve been watching my father-in-law fight for his life the past 5 years and losing my grandfather was like losing my word because he was the closest thing I had to a dad. My son now carries both of their names. Watching someone you love fade away is never easy, thinking of you 🫶🏽💜

This hit so hard. I lost my dad 3 years ago next Sunday. I was with him when he died - that big strong, caring, oak of a man ravaged by cancer. But he never stopped being my hero, right until the end, and to this day. He was there to hold me when my husband died, he was the first hug after Covid restrictions were lifted, and I will never not miss the strength and warmth of those hugs.

Dear plant man - I love your posts, they make me think and laugh…..I particularly enjoyed “the train is leaving…choo choo mother fu***rs”…. I lost my dad when he was 61, he was my hero and my biggest fan too. I’m now losing my mum. The only thing that helped me reframe it is this - grief is the price you pay for love….maybe the cost is reflective of the strength of that love. George (normal
