Bleeding out after an unfair fight barely getting to the favourite flower field, even death itself decides to come and comfort him because he’s panicaly afraid of leaving this world, as he’s reaching for the blossoms one last time they turn into his dead best friends hand pulling him into a happy memory making him completely forget that he doesn’t have much time left, not even realising that all the fighting and turning on his own friends was for nothing because he was blinded by rage and every reason every accusation was only in his mind, empires fallen, all friends dead by his own hand, but in the end he feels nothing but peace.

I was writing an apocalypse story and they were developing an antidote for those infected by a virus. It was transmitted through bloods mixing, and one of the main characters is the president. Her 7 year old daughter was bitten by an infected assailant, so they use the antidote. She dies in her mother’s arms, not as an effect of blood loss or the infection itself. But of an allergic reaction to an ingredient in the antidote that nobody would’ve known because she’d never been administered a medication with that ingredient before. I like making my readers hate me for killing the characters. 😁

All of this is useless. Is just momentary and is repetitive. You want a character death to hurt. You must make sure you are stealing the reader of something they will never have now.
