honestly it makes more sense to phrase it along the lines of “hey so this gasket/seal is the current problem. based on the age/milage of this vehicle. what can happen when we fix this seal, it may worsen or cause another seal to leak. we could just do this seal that is currently leaking or replace all of them as preventative maintenance.” or at least that’s how i’d phrase it as a tech.

I’d just check my oil before and after every commute that I can and keep it filled until I can afford resealing the whole engine

Well, the customer won’t have to worry about no more leaks and the mechanic don’t have to do it two or three times or more so you do it all at once even if it’s a little expensive in the long run, you’ll thank that mechanic

Well brother.. keep it simple. What do you recommend? Literally. If it was your car and had that many oil leaks and you know the best result for that situation is option A . Then rule out option B.

To do a full reseal on a 05 Silverado could be around 3000 . That’s more than the truck is worth. I’ll sell it for 3000 obo.

my 99 Honda prelude had a rear main seal. oh man it was leaking leaking because I never replaced it. eventually the cost of topping off the oil costed more 🤣
