@andrewmholness: Jamaica and Ghana share a special bond built on our shared African heritage, our history and our common values of freedom, dignity and self-determination. My discussions with President John Dramani Mahama focused on creating more opportunities for our people through stronger partnerships in trade, investment, tourism, health, education, logistics and air travel. I also thanked the Government and people of Ghana for standing with Jamaica after Hurricane Melissa. Their support in helping families in St. Elizabeth rebuild their roofs is a true example of friendship in action. This State Visit strengthens the ties between our two nations and opens the door to greater cooperation that can benefit both our people.
