When you really stop to think about it, her parents only see her MAYBE a month a year. how often does she go to the Weasley's during the summer, or stay at Hogwarts during vacations. at one point her parents, desperate to see her, planned an expensive holliday ski trip just on the hope that they could see her for a while, and she bailed to see Harry... Obliviating them was the kindest thing she ever did for her parents.
