when it came to aangs "favoritism", its clear he did intentionally focus more on tenzin because he was the only other airbender around. which led him wanting to leave everything he knew about air bending before he dies which wasnt too far away as we know aang already overstayed his lifetime using the frozen avatar state. Although his childeren held resentment towards him for this favoritism, they knew aang still loved them as they recall fond memories of aang as kids. if im being I see why aang had the urgency to leave everything behind on tenzin, but i dont see why he had to neglect his children to the point of resentment. (my view on this, I like aang ofc but he made questionable decisions, everyone does. if you have some you wanna address or enlightment, then feel free)

Keep in mind tenzin was soloing the white lotus, THREE VERY POWERFUL BENDERS BTW, except for p'li which isn't even his fault tbh, kya kept jonara alive for a week with her body in the spirit realm, fought zaheer and was beating his shit before he got a quick attack off (Kyas like 50 btw) and held her own against one of the fastest benders. Then bumi, fought ghazan, a fricking lava bender and held his own when he had airbending for like a month maybe, then even before that, HE BECAME A GENERAL FOR THE FLIPPING UNITED FORCES. that's all I could remember at the top of my head but if I forgot any please give some 😁

I have a theory, I think when Bumi was growing up Sokka might’ve been the one who taught him to fight (because he had no bending yk?). Don’t get me wrong I’m sure Aang and Katara taught him a lot of stuff, but I feel like Sokka might’ve been able to teach him a bit more more since they could relate to each other 🤷♀️
