Lindsay Clancy's lawyer did that with a physician today (Monday, August 3, day 5) who treated Clancy in a Boston hospital. Reddington questioned Kelly McDonough, an emergency physician at South Shore Hospital, about Clancy's body temperature when McDonough saw her at Brigham and Women's Hospital, asking her if Clancy's "core body temperature was 82 degrees." "If that's what the record states, then yes," McDonough answered. "I'm sorry?" Reddington asked. "If that's what her medical record states, then yes," McDonough answered. "As you sit here, you don't know what her core body temperatue was?" Reddington asked. "I saw her three years ago. I see about 200 patients," McDonough answered. "I'm sure you're very busy, but this is a murder trial, doctor. Did you review your records and your notes?" Reddington asked. "I'm happy to look at my record if you bring it here," McDonough answered. "Did you review your records and notes before you came in here today to testify on this case?" Reddington asked. "Sir, I did, but I don't have a photographic memory," McDonough answered. Reddington, a licensed attorney in Massachusetts since 1975, could've shown McDonough her report and asked her if it refershes her recollection as to Clancy's body temperature. Instead, he continued asking McDonough about Clancy's condition. "When you looked at the CAT scans, did you determine the extent of the injury to the spinal cord?" Reddington asked. "I could determine the extent of the injury to the bony thoracic spine," McDonough answered. "Okay. What was that?" Reddington asked. "I don't recall exactly the level. I would have to look at the report," McDonough answered. "Was her cervical spine injured?" Reddington asked. "I don't recall. I'd have to look at the report," McDonough answered. "Were you aware that her thyroid was crushed?" Reddington asked. "I don't recall," McDonough answered. "Do you know that her cervical spine vertebrae was fractured, destroyed?" Reddington asked. "I don't recall," McDonough answered. "What do you remember about looking at the damage to the spinal cord depicted on the CAT scan?" Reddington asked. "What sticks out most in my mind is her thoracic injury," McDonough answered. "Okay, and what was the thoracic injury?" Reddington asked. "I don't recall the exact level," McDonough answered. "Were you aware that there was a complete transection of the spinal cord on T5 and T6?" Reddington asked. "I'm sure I was aware at the time," McDonough answered. Clancy, 35, is charged with three counts of murder for killing her three young children on Jan. 24, 2023.
