Superficial wounds are 1mm, hers were 3.5mm. By medical terms they aren’t superficial. Probably why it makes him mad when they say it.

everyone's saying they thought he injuries weren't serious or superficial, because when she came in the er they all just saw her as some crazy lady that just killed her children and they didn't want to give proper care. that's why her attorney is correcting everyone that downplays how critical she was.

3.5 mm is not superficial. Fat tissue showing is not superficial. Superficial does not extend down into subcutaneous tissue.

how tf did the surgeon not review previous records before surgery?? 👀👀👀 my ex had back surgery and his surgeon wanted records for years.... and he knew them by heart when doing the consultation. 👀👀 so what do you mean you didnt know about massive transfusions prior to surgery??

She needed surgery to stabilize her spine. She is now paralyzed from her injuries. She required blood transfusions due to internal bleeding and lung collapse and the requirement of chest tubes post traumatic fall. A episode of CPR and blood transfusions are stabilizing interventions. A spine surgeon would always evaluate a spinal cord injury patient for post stabilization spinal surgery. Knowing she coded is ancillary information that would not prevent a surgery if, in fact, the post trauma CPR was related to a spinal cord compression and needed decompression (surgery) sooner than later. Most traumatic spine injuries require surgery to stabilize an injured spinal cord. She technically should have died from her injuries.

what kind of dr doesn’t review patient data once they come into contact with the pt? no handoff info about how she had to have transfusions or how she had coded beforehand? im so lost with this dr. negligent behavior for sure

That’s because her cuts were superficial but she had internal bleeding that WASNT visible and required a transfusion. TWO THINGS CAN BE TRUE AT ONCE.
